UK Cheap Holiday Destinations
How many times have you tried fitting your summer holiday desires into your actual budget? It can be tricky to get the right balance between having the holiday you want and being able to stay within the budget you have as well.
Not everyone goes abroad for their holiday either. Many people decide to stay in the UK and there are some good reasons for this. You don’t have the price of airfare for starters, and you don’t have to worry about how good or bad the exchange rate is either.
But one of the main reasons for staying in this country is the price of the holiday itself. You can get some cheap holidays here if you know where to look, so let’s start looking now.
Cornwall and Devon
Now there are some places here that are definitely more expensive – particularly if you visit all the places that have entry fees.
But there are plenty of things you can see and do for free, such as enjoying the beaches and wandering around on the moors. This applies to many other locations as well.
York
Not all the shops here are cheap, but there are bargains to be found and it costs nothing to explore Britain’s prettiest street, known as the Shambles.
When it comes to lunch you will find lots of nice places to settle down and have a reasonably priced bite to eat as well.
Self catering in the Cotswolds
This is a stunning part of the world and if you book a self catering cottage or property here you can save a lot of money on your break. There are always lots of local farmers markets around which sell fresh local produce, so you’ll be glad you elected to cook for yourself!
Cornwall and Devon
Places like Butlins et al can also offer some nice last minute bargains if you look for them. Butlins alone has venues in Minehead and a couple of other locations, while Center Parcs can be booked at Sherwood Forest and Longleat Forest among others.
The trick is to figure out what kind of holiday you want, other than a cheap one. It can often be better to identify which Holiday Destinations in UK you would like to visit first. Once you have done this you can search for the lowest priced holiday in the UK in that area.
You could also bring the price down by joining and booking through a cash back site. Some holiday companies have joined these and you can get several per cent off your holiday cost if you use them. You can then put the money towards your actual holiday spending money!
So check out the many delightful places you can visit in the UK now on holiday. Some of them might be cheaper than you think.
